Practice Description

I am a Health and Wellness Coach and an Integrative Nutrition Consultant. I approach care from an integrated, holistic perspective. My practice is client-driven, individualized, non-judgmental. My background in both in mental healthcare and child and adolescent psychiatry as well as in integrative nutrition and health coaching. 


I work with individuals whose goals range from wanting to live less stressful lives, to managing anxiety, to losing weight and keeping it off, to changing the way they eat and conceive of nutrition and anything in between. Some of my clients have chronic health conditions such as insomnia, headaches, fatigue, digestive and gut dysbioses, high and low blood sugar and blood pressure which they are trying to control through lifestyle change. 


Many of my clients struggle with additional emotional and psychological issues such as depression, anxiety and obsessive thinking. Though in my role as a health and wellness coach I am not acting as therapist, I feel that these should not be barriers to moving ahead in a coaching relationship as long as the client is engaged with another healthcare professional. I believe that when when the client all the client’s treatment providers collaborate, the outcome is exponentially higher.

Whether in your professional or personal life, everyone has something to work on. Integrative Health & Wellbeing can help unlock your potential and set you on your way towards success. 


My job as your health and wellness coach is to help you identify the goals that you feel will bring you greater health and wellness. These goals may come from any area of your life. Together we will then work over a number of months to actively implement steps that will progress you towards achieving those goals.


I will be here to structure the process, hold you accountable to yourself, encourage and inspire you, and gently nudge you forward. The goals however are entirely yours. The pace and process is yours. The pathway you take is uniquely yours.


The coaching process is a non-judgmental one. I have no outcome in mind. There is no recipe. I believe in progress over perfection, and that change is only effective when internally driven. I cannot provide motivation but I can help elicit that which is already within you. 


This will not be a linear process, as all real, enduring change requires trial and error and then repetition. But the first step is making a commitment; a commitment to yourself that you will be entirely engaged in the work of change, as scary as it might be. The outcomes of this work will be more life-changing than you can imagine and I am honored to accompany you as you watch yourself begin to thrive and lead a healthier life.

25 OR 50 MINUTE SESSIONS

These sessions are the bread and butter of our work together. Whether we meet for 50 minutes or 25 minutes, our weekly or biweekly sessions are the sacred places where we focus entirely on you and your most intimate needs. Here we dialogue to clarify your wellness goals and we plan experiments, or baby steps, that will take you closer and closer to your ultimate dreams. We can brainstorm possible routes to your destination and work to overcome what has been holding you back. You will be willing to try new things, but not at a pace that feels unmanageable. Trial and error is how we both will learn how to create each next step, always propelling us forward. Since you are in control, the content and pace of the sessions will be set by you. I will be here to hold you accountable to yourself for whatever steps you decide to commit to. You will have my support both during the session and between sessions and can count on my unwavering validation.

3 OR 6 MONTH COMMITMENTS

Though some people benefit from very brief consultation over just several sessions, the evidence has shown definitively that real change takes a minimum of six months to occur. As with all habits repetition is key. When taking on a significant health and wellness goal, we expect that the process of taking small steps, reviewing each experiment, brainstorming new ideas, putting yourself in new and sometimes uncomfortable situations, finding and utilizing new wellness tools, is not going to be quick or easy. Though I believe that six months is ideal, I also understand that this can be a scary commitment to make. Thus I offer a three month commitment which can absolutely put you on a solid path to obtaining wellness by clarifying intentions, mapping out pathways, identifying the steps necessary to achieving your dream, and beginning the process of experimentation with accountability.

As with most things, we won’t know if this coaching relationship is a good fit and whether I help you get what you need until we have an open discussion about what you seek and what I can offer. Thus I offer a free initial consult where we can meet each other and get a better sense of how well this can serve you.

WHEN THE FOCUS IS ON FOOD

If you are someone who struggles with how to eat and what to eat for optimal health, what food to buy and prepare to best nourish yourself, how to structure your lifestyle to set yourself up for success in eating and good preparation, and ways to create healthful meals for yourself or your family, you may benefit from a series of sessions focused on issues surrounding nutrition. Here we can clarify your nutrition goals, discuss how to achieve them, work to implement different solutions, and explore what had held you back in the past as well as compound on what is working well now. These sessions can can last weeks to months, depending on your goals and the extent of change necessary to achieve them.

Biography/Credentials

JESSICA MORGAN, MD, LMHC, NBC-HWC

Dr. Morgan graduated from Yale Medical School in 2000 before completing her post-graduate training in General Psychiatry & Neurology at Harvard Hospitals in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Morgan completed further training through a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
In 2018 Dr. Morgan became Certified in Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching (CINHC) through the Institute in Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and started coaching as an Integrative Nutrition/Holistic Health Coach. At this time she also became a Certified International Health Coach (CIHC) through the Association of International Health Coaches (AIHC).

In May 2022, Dr. Morgan became a Nationally Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) by the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC). In addition Dr. Morgan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) through the Washington State Department of Health, though it is not through this purview that she is practicing here.
